code of ethics

abstract

The “Code of Ethics” at PTSD-trauma.help outlines the guiding principles and core values that shape the platform’s work. Key elements include respect, empathy, openness, and a client-centered approach. Therapists commit to maintaining confidentiality, transparency, and integrity in their practices. The code emphasizes the importance of building a trusting and emotional connection while fostering client autonomy, balanced with professional neutrality. Quality assurance through training and reviews, as well as constructive error management, is prioritized for continuous improvement. Partnerships with third parties are kept transparent to avoid conflicts of interest. The organization is committed to evidence-based practices and resource-oriented operations, prioritizing client well-being over profit.

general principles

At PTSD-trauma.help, we have developed a range of highly specialized techniques aimed at positively transforming every aspect of your life. Our goal is to support your healing, growth, and positive change in a comprehensive manner. We strive to help you achieve deep, lasting transformations in the most optimal way, within a timeframe that suits you, and at the highest possible intensity that you can handle. Your well-being is our priority.

Our experienced team of experts in hypnosis, psychotherapy, mental training, and coaching puts your needs at the forefront. Respect, appreciation, empathetic communication, and trust are non-negotiable values in our collaboration. We deeply honor your individuality and maintain a judgment-free approach.
Positive Example: You feel valued and supported during every session, helping you to open up and actively participate in your healing journey. Negative Example: A client feels rushed or overlooked, leading to feelings of frustration and disengagement.

We welcome everyone—regardless of origin, religion, sexual orientation, political beliefs, or ethnicity. We are committed to combating the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions, emotional challenges, and personal struggles. At all times, we respect your autonomy and self-determination. Only what you and your higher consciousness are comfortable with will take place. Our mission is to enhance your quality of life and empower you to regain independence as quickly as possible.

Every member of the PTSD-trauma.help team has signed a ‘Code of Ethics’ that serves as our moral, philosophical, and ethical compass for both private and professional actions. One core principle is to treat clients as we would like to be treated ourselves. We adhere to a classic humanistic view of humanity and Kant’s categorical imperative: our actions should ideally be a model for the actions of all, for the benefit of all.

Positive Example: Imagine you are treated with the same level of care and respect that your therapist would expect for themselves. Negative Example: A therapist makes assumptions about a client’s needs without fully understanding their perspective.

We are deeply convinced that a special emotional connection, warm-heartedness, and a willingness to engage on an emotional level are fundamental to our successful work. Our hope is that you will feel noticeably better after your very first session. Allow PTSD-trauma.help to accompany you on your journey toward a more fulfilled, healthier, and harmonious life.

Client Interaction
We always treat our clients with politeness and kindness—you might even call it ‘loving.’ We recognize the immense power of genuine human connection. Our priority is to create an open, transparent, and trustworthy relationship with you. Unlike traditional psychotherapy, where emotional distance is often emphasized as a marker of professionalism, we take the opposite view: we believe that the relationship we build with you is what truly facilitates healing and is a vital component of our shared work.

Positive Example: Imagine you feel a genuine bond with your therapist, leading to increased comfort and openness during sessions. Negative Example: The therapist maintains a cold or detached demeanor, making the client feel isolated and unsupported.

You should always feel valued and seen as the unique person you are. Our goal is to support you in discovering and utilizing your own resources, as all the strengths you need are already within you. Throughout sessions and intensive seminars, we maintain an environment where you can feel like you are engaging with a trusted friend. If you feel that connection, we know we’re doing something right. Humor and joy are naturally part of a fulfilling therapeutic relationship, and we uphold our integrity even as we share laughter and light moments with you. This is particularly important when processing traumatic experiences; the return of a smile to a person who had forgotten how to laugh is one of the most powerful moments in our work.

Positive Example: Imagine you experience moments of joy and laughter during sessions, aiding emotional relief and building trust. Negative Example: Sessions feel overly serious or sterile, causing the client to feel disconnected and tense.

Our Expectations of You
This friendly bond ideally extends to the entire group atmosphere. The more social interaction is allowed, the better. However, please be mindful of others’ privacy—not everyone wishes to share their personal reasons for attending an intensive seminar. Respect the discretion and privacy of others, just as you would want them to respect yours.

Positive Example: Imagine you engage in group activities while maintaining respectful boundaries. Negative Example: A participant invades someone’s personal space or presses others to share details they are not comfortable discussing.

Keep in mind that some participants may be in a very vulnerable state. Be considerate of what you say, when you say it, and how you communicate. Even when discussing your own experiences, remember that others are listening. We encourage non-violent, respectful, and mindful communication.
Positive Example: Imagine you share your story thoughtfully, promoting a supportive atmosphere. Negative Example: A participant’s comments are insensitive, leading to discomfort or tension within the group.

Please respect the personal space of others and do not enter their private rooms. While we spend a lot of time together, it’s important for everyone to have the option to retreat when needed. If you wish to engage in conversations with other participants, there are plenty of beautiful spots in Seeon to do so.

Team Collaboration
Mutual respect and teamwork are the foundation of our collaboration. We consciously foster a constructive approach to mistakes, as discussing them leads to continuous improvement in the quality of our work and the optimization of our goals. We take special care in this and encourage you to do the same. Regular peer reviews and supervision are conducted among team members directly involved in intensive therapy.
Positive Example: Imagine your team discusses and learns from a mistake, leading to improved processes and better client outcomes. Negative Example: Mistakes are ignored or not addressed, resulting in repeated issues and lowered team morale.

Confidentiality
All employees at PTSD-trauma.help are bound by confidentiality. This includes all information about clients of the institute and private practices. Any transmission of patient data—even to insurers, other practitioners, or family members—requires the patient’s written consent. Breaching confidentiality can have legal consequences. In addition to medical confidentiality, all staff members are also trained in data protection guidelines.
Positive Example: Imagine your information is handled securely, with written consent obtained for any necessary sharing. Negative Example: Client data is shared without proper authorization, breaching trust and potentially leading to legal action.

Quality in Hypnotherapy
At PTSD-trauma.help, we continuously strive for the highest standards of quality in our work. Regular peer reviews, supervision, and periodic evaluations ensure that every client is always optimally supported. The foundation of our work includes our ‘Code of Ethics,’ established guidelines for supraliminal hypnosis, continuous exchange with the scientific community, and adherence to evidence-based practices. The well-being of our clients always comes before profit.
Positive Example: Imagine you benefit from regular training and peer reviews that ensure consistent and high-quality care. Negative Example: Quality standards are not upheld, leading to inconsistent treatment experiences for clients.

Resources and Organization
PTSD-trauma.help works in a resource-oriented manner and not solely for profit. We implement hypnotherapy measures with the best cost-benefit ratio within the scope of achievable possibilities and only provide services that are justified and beneficial. Services that could hinder or endanger the client’s healing process are not offered. We aim to stand out in our field through high quality and efficiency.
Positive Example: Imagine receiving tailored services that meet your needs, ensuring both effectiveness and efficiency. Negative Example: Unnecessary services are offered for profit, potentially hindering the client’s progress.

Transparency and Conflict of Interest
All contacts with third-party interests, such as doctors, the pharmaceutical industry, or other companies, must be communicated transparently. All collaborations with third parties serve solely to further develop and optimize the method of supraliminal hypnosis. Financial interests should ideally be balanced with charitable interests, always respecting the common good.

Positive Example: Imagine being aware of all partnerships with third parties, ensuring transparency and trust. Negative Example: Conflicts of interest are hidden, leading to potential trust issues and ethical concerns.

Education and Training
We are always interested in sharing our knowledge with other colleagues and interested parties, whether through internships or training.
Positive Example: Imagine participating in workshops where best practices are shared to contribute to the field. Negative Example: Knowledge is kept within the team, limiting growth and innovation.

Client-Centered Approach
Our clients’ needs and initial solutions take center stage. Therapists avoid imposing their interpretations and instead empower clients to find their own paths to healing, maintaining respect for the individual’s autonomy throughout the process.
Positive Example: Imagine feeling empowered to explore your own solutions with gentle guidance. Negative Example: The therapist pushes their own interpretations, causing the client to feel disregarded or misunderstood.
